Summertime Fun Adventure
The Cub Scout Summertime Fun Adventure Award encourages Scouts to stay active and engaged with their pack during the summer break through fun, outdoor activities. It’s a great way for Scouts to stay connected, explore new adventures, and keep building friendships while school is out.
To earn the award, Cub Scouts must participate in at least one pack activity during each summer month—June, July, and August. Activities can include things like park playdates, service projects, hikes, or events like Sundae Funday. Scouts who meet the requirement will receive a special pin to wear on their uniform—one for each year they earn it!
It’s simple, fun, and a great reason to get outside with your pack this summer. Want to plan an adventure for your den or help organize a pack event? That counts too!

Twilight Camp
The Lonestar District will not be hosting a Twilight Camp this year, but we’re excited to share that the Twin Bayou District has graciously invited our Cub Scouts to join their Twilight Camp. The camp will take place June 9–13 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. It's a fantastic opportunity for our Scouts to enjoy an evening of fun, adventure, and learning alongside fellow Scouts in the area!

Sundae Funday
Join Cub Scout Pack 1138 for a sweet summer evening at Milroy Park on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 6:00pm - 7:30pm! We'll scoop up the fun with games, outdoor play, and build-your-own sundaes. It's the perfect way to kick off summer with your Scouting friends—and even better when you bring a buddy!
Know someone who might like to join the adventure? Invite them to come along and see what Pack 1138 is all about! Scouts, fun, and sprinkles…what more could you want?

Scout Day with the Houston Astros
Join us at Daikin Park to watch the Astros take on the Athletics on Sunday, July 27,2025. The game begins at 1:10 pm. The first 2,000 Scouts to purchase a ticket through the link below will receive a Houston Astros Scout Day patch. Scouts and leaders in uniform can participate in the pre-game parade around the warning track; line up at the right field gate at 10:30 am; specific instructions will be emailed about a week before the game. Patches are distributed in the tunnel after the parade. Scouts can also run the bases after the game; line up after the game by section 132 in the line towards the center field side and then after they go down the steps, pick them up by section 126. Ticket will be purchased on an individual basis. It is recommended to talk with your den leader so your den can sit together.
